Abstract :
With the development of Mobile Internet, it is possible for people to access their daily portion of news over the Web with various types of terminals connected to it. EagleRadio is a phonic Web news recommendation system which helps users access personalized news via mobile Internet. It reads news via a speech synthesizer to users. We propose a hybrid news recommending strategy considering not only the user´s listening history, but also taking the user´s neighbors with similar tastes and preferences into account. It can track multiple threads of user´s interests and the diversity of recommended news list is also guaranteed. Finally, we evaluate the proposed algorithms and quantify the effect of them from a user´s perspective.
