Abstract :
Industrial gas turbines are in operation around the world in many unfavorable environments. The safe operation is most important. In this paper, the common failure modes of gas turbine are stated. In order to find weakest link and take correction action, FMEA (failure mode and effect analysis) method has been applied. Because traditional FMEA method has some drawbacks, it is very difficult for three evaluation indices to be evaluated precisely. Simultaneously, traditional FMEA doesn´t consider the relative importance of three indices. In order to solve this problem, fuzzy logic is introduced. Improved FMEA method replaced real number with fuzzy triangular number to calculate the relative importance of three indices and priority of seven failure modes. Finally, this method is applied in the reliability evaluation of gas turbine.
