Abstract :
This paper has an investigation on the transmittance characteristic of all-dielectric thin film Fabry-Perot filter (AFPF). When AFPF is rotated around a pivot point, a linear relationship is achieved between its peak-transmittance wavelength and the cosine value of incident angle of laser beam. Based on the result, we propose a new configuration with AFPF in an external cavity diode-laser-(ECDL),-which-is-expected-to-achieve-linear-wavele-ngth tuning over 40nm range around 1550nm without mode hopping.-The-ECDL-can-be-used-in-the-application-of-environ-mental monitoring, atomic and molecular laser spectroscopy research, precise measurements, and so on.
