Abstract :
PH (Petersburg/Harvard) is a Russian/American Gamma-Ray detection system for use in nuclear structure studies, initially consisting of 2 clusters of hexahedron BGO detectors with the coupling of each crystal with photomultiplier. Essential feature of the experiment conditions for PH is operating of detectors in ambient magnetic fields causing change of gains of the photomultipliers. On-line precision stabilizer is a distributed instrument on the basis of VXIbus. It includes Gain-and-Zero digital stabilizers, cluster´s precision current generator unit and multichannel fast-gain-switching amplifier for generating and processing test LED flushes. Local Bus Manager integrates timing diagram via the VXI Local Bus. The localization of the gain stabilization at the channel level comprises a unique way to process-105 True Events-to-memory per channel per second data flow (1 True MEvent per cluster)
