Abstract
This paper investigates the minor-hysteresis loops of cold rolled low carbon steel. From relations between field-dependent parameters of minor loops, minor-loop coefficients being independent of field amplitude were obtained and compared with the traditional structure-sensitive properties of the major loop. Results show the present analysis method using minor loops is strongly advantageous for non-destructive evaluation of dislocation density in ferromagnetic materials.
