  • Abstract
    We have developed a VME module called Super Memory Partner (or SMP) that works as a system manager for a TKO data acquisition system. The SMP has a double buffer structure and an interrupt/block transfer capability on VME bus with a transfer rate of up to 16 Mbyte/sec. With the SMP and a TKO system, we have constructed an advanced data acquisition system that has a dead-time free structure. One can build a complete data acquisition system with them. This new SMP/TKO system is available for high rate accelerator experiments and for other experiments that require a dead-time-free data acquisition system. This system will be incorporated into a data acquisition system of an underground water Cherenkov counter experiment, the Super Kamiokande
