Abstract :
This paper proposes a communication scheme for collaboration groups to track objects in a sensor network. We divide the sensor nodes into clusters. Each cluster is a geographical hexagon area. We design a data transmission route for cluster communication. Using the hexagonal clustering idea, we can save power in collaboration group for tracking objects. Our protocol considers how to switch quickly among different clusters. We optimize the size of cluster area to minimize energy consumption. The simulation results show better performance than other group communication schemes.
