  • Abstract
A dual-band and dual-polarized combined quadrafilar helix transceiving antenna is proposed in this article. A new type of feed network with novel microstrip balun is designed. The proposed design is well integrated in feed network, radiator and support structure. The experimental results show that two nearby quadrafilar helix antennas (QHA) have a good intrasystem isolation due to their different tuning directions and feed phases, and they can keep their own electrical properties when working simultaneously. The simulated and experimental results are presented and analyzed in detail. The proposed antenna can be used in satellite communication or position systems.
