Abstract :
Presents preliminary results obtained by reconstructing 3-D PET data simulating the behaviour of a dedicated hardware parallel architecture that matches an event by event algorithm working with backprojection filtering approach. The algorithm, the operating mode of the architecture and its complexity are described. Images presented here have not been 3-D filtered yet, instead a 2-D filter has been applied on single slices
