  • Abstract
    A new way of concentrating sunlight, which is based on one-dimensional grating, and could be used for concentrator photovoltaic, is described. The light changes its direction in the plane perpendicular to the grating direction, the diffracted lights translates through the glass and radiates on the solar cell which is on the edge of the glass. The diffraction efficiency is calculated in theory, and the concentration ratio is estimated.
