Abstract :
An internal Quad-band monopole antenna with isolation area for CTIA 3.0 Talk Mode is designed and studied. The proposed antenna has isolation area for the head and hand phantoms following CTIA 3.0 Teat Plan and is located at the bottom of the ground plane in printed circuit board (PCB). The simulated impedance bandwidth covers the required bandwidth of the GSM900 (880-960 MHz), DCS (1710-1880 MHz), PCS (1850-1990 MHz) and UMTS 2100 (1920-2170) bands. It is suitable for most of Asia, American, and European 2G/3G handheld devices.
