Abstract :
The design of dual-band Marchand baluns is presented. The technique utilizes a classical synthesis procedure to derive dual-band network prototypes whose performances are identical to the balun structures. A balun is fabricated on an FR-4 board with measured performance illustrating dual-band characteristics. The passbands are centered at 1 GHz and 3.6 GHz respectively.
