Abstract :
In the latest two decades, modal analysis has been used in many engineering disciplines and technology fields to solve increasingly problem. Its application ranges from automotive engineering, aeronautical and astronautical engineering to bioengineering and medicine. The method can also be used to diagnose fault of machines. To evaluate the validity of modal analysis methods applying in fault diagnosis of machines, a simulation that modal analysis of gearbox was taken by the author and proved its feasibility.
