Abstract
Two concepts of planar antennas for System-in-Package Radar Sensors at 122 GHz are presented in this paper. The antennas are designed for flip-chip attach to the active components and realized on a 127 μm thick Alumina substrate. Results of gain, radiation pattern and return loss are presented, showing good agreement between simulation and measurement. Both antennas have a measured gain about 11 dBi and a 10 db-bandwidth of over 5 GHz.
