Abstract :
An efficient algorithm which utilizes non-linear optimization methods for fast super-resolution enhancement of through-wall radar imagery is proposed. The non-linear optimization methods are based around regularization of the forward model to maximize image sparseness. Algorithm efficiency is realized by employing coherence factor filtering on simple back-projection images to determine imaging regions that benefit from applying super-resolution processes. Several free-space and through-wall imaging examples, utilizing measured scattering data from a small UWB UHF array, are presented to demonstrate algorithm performance.
