            Abstract :
This paper deals with the surface behaviour of insulating materials like epoxy casting (EC) and silicone rubber (SIR), when the specimens are stressed by humidity and an electric field in a Rotating-Wheel-Dip-Test. The influence of the test procedure on test duration until hydrophobicity loss is presented. Results of a comparison of the hydrophobicity resistance of several insulating materials with different thickness and fillers are shown
