Abstract
The paper reports results on development of 3D accelerometer of extra low acceleration. There is described the principle of operation of the fiber optical sensor with pulse modulation of optical flow intensity (PFOS), which is a main part of accelerometer. It is discussed main advantages of 3D accelerometer, such as: possibility of decreasing accelerometer hardware by using usual air-borne or space-borne computers; neutralising an influence of natural, design, technological drawbacks of PFOS on measured results; neutralising an influence of extraordinary situations; exclusion an influence of internal and external destabilising factors. As example there are described design and performances of proposed 3D accelerometer.
