Abstract
The paper considers a possibility of using fiber-optical sensors (FOS) as transducers. There are described and compared main advantages and disadvantages of analogue and pulse FOS. There are presenting results of estimating of metrological and quantitative precise opportunities of analog FOS. It has been made conclusion about necessity to refuse from analog FOS and turn to pulse FOS (PFOS). As example there is described a transducer based on PFOS.
