Abstract
Some analytical properties of the closed-form representation of the Sommerfeld integral are investigated for an homogeneous impedance surface. New complete asymptotic series of the Sommerfeld integral is formulated, which is very accurate for a small height of dipoles. For a near-field region, the zero-order term of the Taylor series of the integral is formulated to show the logarithm pole of the integral is immovable.
