  • Abstract
The noise temperature contributed by the ground is obtained analytically for the case of a line source (TE illumination) and with ground covered by a 1-D array of infinite strips. The approach makes use of electromagnetic and thermodynamic reciprocity. The integral-equation approach is based on the Array Scanning Method. The upgoing and downgoing powers are estimated in spectral domain. A sensitivity analysis is provided.
