Abstract :
We report on the absolute frequency stabilization of Yb,Er:glass laser against different acetylene absorption line in the 1.5 /spl mu/m region. Beat-note measurements between two independently stabilized lasers yield a short-term (1-ms) laser linewidth of 50 kHz and a long-term (1-hour) rms frequency fluctuation of 170 kHz. The Allan standard deviation at 0.1 s is 4/spl times/10/sup -11/.
