Abstract
Indoor channel measurements were carried out to evaluate the impact on MIMO system performance of a new wideband compact slot antenna array intended for WLAN Access Points (AP). The antenna explores both spatial and polarization diversity. The study involves a detailed MIMO performance comparison against a common array of patches. The new antenna shows a clear improvement in terms of bit error rate for different number of array elements and different polarization diversity arrangements.
