Abstract :
The work presented in this paper is concerned with modelling of deepwater the Tripod Tower Platform (TTP) for wave loading. Feasibility of physical modelling for wave structure interaction is investigated. In modelling the flow two parameters, viz., Reynolds number and Keulegan-Carpenter number, are considered to check the adequacy of physical modelling for wave loading. Model laws via dimensional analysis for regular wave trains interacting with structure is obtained. The dimensionless parameters are examined to validate the structural modelling at small scale.
