Abstract :
Summary form only given. In this presentation three rather different types of fibre optic probe for medical applications are presented: temperature profile monitoring based upon a multiplexed array of fibre Bragg gratings (FBG); FBG ultrasonic probe; miniature pressure sensor based on a Fizeau cavity.
