            Abstract :
This paper presents an interactive computer system for teaching mechanical vibrations based on constructivist learning theory of learning, skills development and case-based learning strategy. This system features 3D animations to illustrate mechanical vibrations concepts while using a module for job skills development through the use of a computer simulations. Preliminary results indicate that users prefer using this new system when compared to traditional courses based on static slide presentations.
