Abstract :
The modelling method addresses the criticism that measurement theory lacks practical application. By developing a graphical method which illustrates the forms of measurement, and which can be used to assist in developing a measurement process, the theory may find greater acceptance and understanding. In particular indirect measurement, where individual measures of properties may be combined in various ways, requires a clear modelling methodology
