Abstract :
Summary form only given. A dispersion-compensation fiber (DCF) with W-shaped profile has a negative high dispersion and a negative dispersion slope, simultaneously. By optimizing the refractive index profile, we developed a dispersion flat compensation fiber (DFCF) that could compensate a dispersion and a slope of single mode fiber (SMF) at wavelength range from 1.53 μm to 1.56 μm. In this report, dispersion and nonlinear properties for W-shaped DCF were studied, compared with matched clad DCF.
