Abstract :
In conventional constant-temperature hot-wire anemometers, the effect of fluid temperature variation on the measurement is compensated by using an additional sensor sensitive to the fluid temperature, but almost insensitive to fluid velocity. In this paper, a measurement configuration based on two similar heated sensors maintained at two different temperatures, interacting identically with the measurand is proposed and formulated. The possibility of using only one sensor to measure fluid velocity, independent of the fluid temperature is also proposed
