Abstract :
Fast full-wave solvers for boundary element methods still require accurate and efficient evaluation of self and nearby interactions. Although there are many methods available, finding one that provides reliably high accuracy at reasonable computational cost is still elusive. In this paper, we describe a new integration scheme that combines Gausspsila theorem with a modified complex-domain mapping technique. This new method is tested against a variety of methods to show that the new approach is consistently reliable and converges to the exact results for self and nearby interactions much faster than other methods.
