Web publication of remote sensing images based on ArcIMS

This paper discusses the establishment of a remote sensing images database. The realization and system framework of web publication of remote sensing images are analyzed. According to the structure of ArcIMS and characteristics of remote sensing images, the image data stored in the form of file should be uploaded into a database by ArcSDE. As far as large remote sensing images are concerned, it is important to choose appropriate uploading parameters. Server side strategy using the JSP technique can establish a stable website to publish remote sensing images effectively on the Internet.
