Abstract :
This paper presents a methodology of a supportive application developed by Iberdrola and Software AG Espana to evaluate, compare and select different power system investment alternatives. The application integrates electric concepts like load flow solutions for radial networks, power losses and reliability analysis with economic variables like development costs, interest rates, life expectancy, etc., to allow Iberdrola´s power network planning personnel to select the best investment alternative
