Abstract :
Conditions are investigated for exponential convergence of the tracking error in feedforward adaptive systems. A main result is that for a bounded periodic regressor, the tracking error associated with the adaptive gradient algorithm converges exponentially without regard to persistent excitation (PE) conditions
