Abstract :
Microtrack model which simulates media noise in magnetic recording system, with vibration disturbances and noises from HDD, provides a realistic simulated environment for the study of perpendicular servo signal in ultra-high density (400Gbpsi) recording. The microtrack model works by slicing a full track into several microtracks. The transition position for each microtrack is randomly determined by the pdf derived from the magnetization profile.
