Abstract :
The success of any cooperative communication system largely depends on an appropriate selection of relays and allocation of resources like power and bandwidth. Selecting the most appropriate relay in a cooperative communication network has the propensity of yielding maximum benefit for both the source and the relay nodes and improving the performance of the entire wireless network. In this paper, a game theory-based relay selection scheme for wireless networks integrated with error control coding is proposed. An optimal resource allocation scheme for the relay nodes to help the source node as well as the relay nodes maximize their utilities is also proposed. Simulations are then run to validate the schemes. Partner and relay are used interchangeably in this paper.
