Abstract :
Summary form only given. We have implemented an array of 64-sensor channels using a two-layer version of a foward coupled array topology (FCAT) configuration comprising an array of eight sub-arrays (SA) each of eight sensors. Each sensor is a fiber interferometer of either a Mach-Zehnder or Michelson design. Most of the interferometers incorporated a piezoelectric fiber stretcher in one arm to allow test signals to be applied to the sensors.
