Abstract :
It is important to design cryptographically strong and low-complexity substitution boxes (S-boxes) in cryptosystems. In this paper, we propose a new S-box based on a discretized piecewise linear chaotic map. The results show that the proposed S-box has good cryptographic properties and implementation efficiencies.
