Abstract :
The electrical and optical properties of the OLED with a structure of ITO/HTM/OXD-7/Alq3/Al have been investigated. The currents of the OLEDs with various HTM materials can be explained by the barrier heights of hole injection and hole mobilities of HTM. The OLED with MDPTA has a high performance for a blue-light-emitting EL device. Its EL is associated with the exciplexes formed with MDTPA and OXD-7 molecules. In the TL device, the introduction of Alq3 layer between OXD-7 and Al cathode caused not only the increase of current, but also the enhancement of EL efficiency. These results can be explained with the tunnel injection model
