Abstract
Linear periodic discrete-time systems are analyzed. In particular, it is shown in this paper that the classical polynomial approach for linear time-invariant systems still holds for the study of the reachability and controllability of periodic systems. New definitions and properties are given in terms of skew polynomial rings and difference algebra. A necessary and sufficient condition for reachability and observability independent of time is established
