  • Abstract
    The chaos in the traffic flow based on couple map model is studied in this paper. The time series of the traffic flow are generated by using Matlab program. The changing process of the space headway between the front and the following vehicle are obtained by the simulation. The influence of the model parameters on the movement of the traffic flow is discussed and the relevant simulation results are given. The analysis of the dynamic phase transitions in the traffic flow shows that the chaos exists in the traffic flow indeed, and the system passes to chaos following the Pomeau-Manneville scenario due to the variety of the model parameter.
