  • Abstract
A tunable iodine stabilized He-Ne laser has been constructed. The laser radiation has only one polarization state which removes the polarization flipping problem. The single mode output power of the laser is higher than 250 /spl mu/M at 543 nm. The frequency of the laser has been stabilized on the hyperfine absorption components of iodine molecular transitions R(12) 26-0, R(106) 28-0 at 543 nm, P(62) 11-2 at 605 nm and R(47) 9-2, P(48) 11-3 at 612 nm.
