Abstract :
Summary form only given. Proton exchange on lithium tantalate is rapidly becoming one of the most studied and exploited processes for nonlinear waveguide fabrication. This fabrication technique is very promising for waveguide realization, in particular on periodically poled substrates, due to the relatively low exchange temperature and the less aggressive acid source that preserves the domain inversion.
