Abstract

In view of the current practices and developing tendency of multi-project management, it was suggested that it is the owners rather than the contractors should be at the core to build an effective and efficient supply chain for multi-project. Multi-project management is neither an extension nor a scaled up version of single project management. The characteristics of centralized procurement, Third-party logistics (TPL) procurement, and Just in time (JIT) procurement were also discussed. Finally a new organizational structure for multi-project management was designed to make sure the strategic supply chain can be implemented smoothly.
