Abstract
In this investigation we have prototype a low-power, wireless, reflectance photoplethysmography (PPG) system. The PPG system consisted of a PPG sensor and a workstation. An amplifier circuit is stacked on the bottom of a commercial wireless sensor node to achieve the PPG sensor of wearable size. The PPG sensor detects the local bio-signals and radios the signals to the workstation for display and storage. This work demonstrates the feasibility of using WSN-based technology for fast prototyping of a body sensor system.
