Abstract :
The desire for higher data rates and spectrum limitation makes 60GHz the most promising technology to deliver multi-gigabit high throughput wireless communication. This is due to its abundant multiple gigahertz license-exempt spectrum frequency and particularly for WPAN and WLAN implementation. The 60GHz high path loss demands high directional gain antenna to balance system link budget. Antenna polarization design plays a critical role to minimize polarization mismatch at wave propagation between 60GHz transmitter and receiver link. This paper presents a dual polarized mm-wave antenna and phased array antenna design to provide robust communication link for 60GHz technology.
