Abstract :
This paper deals with the dynamics of a chain drive CVT (continuously variable transmission). To get realistic predictions about the system behaviour at the variation of the gear ratio and high dynamical loads, the models of all mechanical components including the hydraulics are presented. Particular attention is paid to the detailed description of the contacts of the chain and in the torque sensors
