Abstract :
This paper discusses results of PD patterns analysis of the stator insulation in different turbogenerators. Based on these measurements a PD database has been developed to support the discharge evaluation during periodic off-line inspections of turbogenerators. Using this technique clear distinction is possible between generators in good condition and these which are showing internal or external discharges originating from the insulation degradation
