Abstract :
Summary form only given. Iron is known as a suitable impurity for improvement of photorefractive sensitivity of different crystals. In this report the preliminary data are presented on synthesis of Sn/sub 2/P/sub 2/S/sub 6/ crystals deliberately doped with iron, optical and EPR characterization of Sn/sub 2/P/sub 2/S/sub 6/:Fe and photorefractive properties of Sn/sub 2/P/sub 2/S/sub 6/:Fe. The properties of Sn/sub 2/P/sub 2/S/sub 6/:Fe (0.5wt%) are compared with those of nominally undoped Sn/sub 2/P/sub 2/S/sub 6/ sample.
