Abstract
A procedure is developed to design IIR synthesis filters in a multirate filter bank. The filters minimize the l2-induced norm of the error system between the multirate filter bank and a desired pure time-delay system. This criterion is reduced to one of H∞ optimization, for which there is ready-made software
