Abstract :
An image processing and automated classification algorithm that classifies the magneto-optic images for both surface and subsurface cracks in aircraft skins under various excitation frequencies was presented. Motion based filtering was performed as a first step for image detection and classification of interior magneto-optic images. The next step was detection of the structural edge of the images.
