Abstract
It is considered a problem of the nonlinear chaotic oscillation in internal combustion engine with presence of backlashes in the connection between the gearwheels. It is determined that correlation is present between the intensity of nonlinear chaotic and nonlinear periodic oscillations in an engine. The solution for periodic oscillations is found with iterative method, where a linear problem (without backlashes) is solved on every step of it
